Today, Friday, 3 July 2026, Nigeria Premier League giants Kano Pillars completed the signing of Daniel Ogunmodede on a two‑year deal. The manager, who is the current Super Eagles assistant coach and holds a UEFA B licence, departs Remo Stars after a long and impactful spell.

Daniel Ogunmodede first joined Remo Stars in 2015 as an assistant coach and youth team manager. Over his decade‑long association with the club, he served in several key roles:

  • 2016–2017 — Head Coach of the U‑19 Youth Team and pioneer Director of Youth Football Development, helping establish the club’s acclaimed academy structure.
  • 2020 — Promoted to Head Coach of the senior team for his first stint, guiding them to promotion back into the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
  • August 2022 — Rejoined Remo Stars as Head Coach after a one‑year spell in Portugal as assistant manager at CD Feirense. He later led the club to their historic maiden NPFL title during the 2024/25 season.
