Softfootball can confirm Morgan Rogers has played down speculation surrounding his reported £130 million valuation, admitting he is unsure he is worth such a huge fee despite attracting serious interest from Arsenal this summer.

The Aston Villa star has emerged as one of Mikel Arteta’s top attacking targets, with the Gunners continuing their search for a new left winger ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. Rogers is understood to be on a shortlist that also includes Bradley Barcola and Christos Tzolis.

Speaking about the eye-catching price tag that has been attached to him, Rogers remained humble despite the growing hype.

“I’m not sure I’m worth all of that!” Rogers said.

“It’s nice to hear that from people but I don’t let outside noise affect me.”

The speculation intensified after Manchester City completed the £116 million signing of Elliot Anderson, prompting many supporters and pundits—particularly Aston Villa fans—to argue that Rogers should command an even higher fee if he were to leave Villa Park.

Reports have suggested a figure of around £130 million, although no formal offer has yet been submitted by Arsenal.

Despite the mounting transfer rumours, the England international appears determined to keep his focus on football rather than speculation surrounding his future.

With Arsenal also monitoring Barcola and Tzolis, it remains to be seen whether the North London club will make a move for Rogers, but Aston Villa are expected to demand a substantial fee before considering the sale of one of their most valuable assets.
