Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde has revealed that he had a difficult time playing against Kylian Mbappe before the French star joined the Spanish giants.
Softfootball has reported that Valverde recently returned to Real Madrid training after a reported dressing room incident, and his latest comments show his focus remains firmly on helping the team move forward. The Uruguayan midfielder also used the opportunity to praise Mbappe’s quality and influence since arriving at the club.
Speaking with France Football, Valverde described Mbappe as one of the best players in the world and said it is a joy to now share the pitch with him.

“We all know what a class player Mbappe is, he is one of the best in the world. To have him here today is a great satisfaction, it is a joy to share the pitch with him,” Valverde said.
The Real Madrid star admitted that he had suffered while playing against Mbappe in the past, both at club level against Paris Saint-Germain and at international level when Uruguay faced France.
I have suffered by playing against him with PSG, and by playing against France with my country. He stands out in every match, in every practice. He is a top player. Thank God he is here with us,
he added.
Valverde also praised Mbappe’s personality, saying the Frenchman has silenced rumours that his arrival could cause problems in the dressing room.
“As a person, Mbappe is incredible. He has silenced many people,” Valverde said.
He added that Mbappe has shown himself to be humble, respectful, and easy to work with since joining Real Madrid.
For Valverde, having Mbappe as a teammate is not only a boost for the team but also something his family and children can enjoy watching.
