Inter Milan and Hakan Çalhanoğlu have made it clear that their plans remain unchanged, with both sides committed to continuing together into next season, Softfootball reports.
The update comes after a period of uncertainty surrounding the player’s future. Back in 2025, several clubs including Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham FC were linked with a potential move following Inter’s early exit from the FIFA Club World Cup.
According to Fabrizio Romano on his X handle, the midfielder is fully prepared to stay at the club, a position also confirmed by his agent in recent days. Inter share the same stance, seeing Çalhanoğlu as a key figure in their project moving forward.

Fabrizio posted:
Inter and Hakan Çalhanoglu plan has not changed, the intention is to continue together next season. As exclusively revealed by his agent last week, Çalha’s ready to stay and Inter also want him to continue. Contract topic (expiring in June 2027) to be discussed later on.
While his current contract runs until June 2027, discussions over a possible extension have been postponed and will be addressed at a later stage.

More recently, Çalhanoğlu celebrated a major international milestone, playing a key role as Turkey national football team qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
For now, both player and club appear fully aligned on continuing their journey together.
