Girona are set to finalize a €1 million deal with ETO Győr FC for Ukrainian striker Oleksandr Pyshchur, with the player expected to arrive in La Liga in June, Softfootball reports. This was confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle.

The move follows Girona’s impressive 1–1 draw with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, showing the club’s growing competitiveness both on the pitch and in the transfer market.

Romano revealed:

Girona will formally complete all steps or €1m deal with ETO Győr for Oleksandr Pyshchur as new striker. He’s ready for La Liga move from June.

Pyshchur, 21, is a Ukraine Under-21 international and stands at a remarkable 2.04 metres tall. The centre-forward joined Győr in 2025 and has quickly attracted attention for his unusual physical profile, aerial presence, and long-term potential.

Girona view the signing as both immediate squad reinforcement and a future investment. Club officials are believed to have reached an agreement in principle months ago, with final steps now being completed ahead of the summer window.

The relatively modest fee reflects Girona’s continued smart-market strategy — targeting emerging talent with upside rather than competing for expensive established names. Pyshchur could offer a different attacking option through size, hold-up play, and penalty-box threat.

For the player, a move to Spain would represent a major step in his development and a chance to test himself in one of Europe’s strongest leagues. Girona’s recent rise has made them an attractive destination for young players seeking growth and top-level exposure.

Meanwhile, Al Nassr are reportedly considering a pathway that could see Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. join his father Cristiano Ronaldo in the first-team training group as early as next season.
