Cristian Romero has sparked fresh transfer speculation after reaffirming his loyalty to Tottenham Hotspur while leaving the door open for a possible summer move. Softfootball reports.

In comments shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X handle, the Argentine defender emphasized his commitment to the club despite their difficult season, but his openness to future possibilities has fueled growing interest from top European sides.

Romano revealed:

Cuti Romero on chances to LEAVE Tottenham in June: “My focus is on Spurs and try to help in this bad situation… …this is the priority, then after we will see. But now I want to recover energy and help Spurs”.

Romero, who remains under contract until 2029, has been linked with clubs such as Real Madrid and Manchester United, having already turned down offers in previous windows.

Tottenham’s struggles this season have only intensified speculation, with the club currently battling inconsistency in the Premier League. Their recent 1–1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield highlighted ongoing issues, as Spurs managed to frustrate their opponents despite being in the lower half of the table.

Managerial uncertainty has also added to the instability, with interim boss Igor Tudor under pressure following a poor run of results since replacing Thomas Frank in February 2026.

Fan reactions to Romero’s comments suggest many interpret his words as a subtle indication of a potential exit, reflecting wider frustration with Tottenham’s underwhelming campaign.
