If Wolves are going to pull themselves out of the Premier League basement, a home clash against a Nottingham Forest side hovering just above the drop zone may be as good a chance as any. But with morale low and momentum missing, Molineux hasn’t been the fortress they need.
Rob Edwards’ arrival has yet to spark the turnaround fans hoped for. Two games, two defeats, and not a single goal scored highlight just how deep Wolves’ struggles run; their recent narrow 1-nil loss to Aston Villa also shows their worrying attacking form even against a slightly vulnerable defence.

Their losing streak now stands at seven straight matches in all competitions, and with just two points from 13 league games, they remain one of only three teams across Europe’s top-five leagues still searching for a win.
Forest aren’t exactly flying high either. Their 2-0 defeat to Brighton halted a three-match winning run, one that included a stunning 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield, their first away league win of the campaign.
Now, they have a chance to win back-to-back away league matches for the first time since January, a message that manager Sean dych passed in a video release by Forest’s official X handle.

Softfootball reports the clash between these two sides suggests a tight affair, with four of the last six meetings ending in a draw, while Wolves haven’t won any of those (D4, L2). Goals are sure to flow in this encounter from both ends, even though Forest had the extra hand with a 3-nil victory in their last encounter.
Team News
Rodrigo Gomes and Ladislav Krejčí remain doubtful and will undergo late assessments. Jørgen Strand Larsen, who has scored five of his last six Wolves goals at Molineux, is expected to lead the line again.
Forest are monitoring the fitness of Murillo and Morgan Gibbs-White, both of whom picked up knocks in recent matches. Neco Williams, one of the league’s top tacklers, should keep his place after another energetic display.

Possible Lineups
Wolves: Johnstone; Mosquera, Agbadou, T Gomes; Tchatchoua, Andre, G Gomes, Moller Wolfe; Arias, Bellegarde, Strand Larsen
Nottingham Forest: Sels; Savona, Milenkovic, Morato, Williams; Sangare, Anderson; Hutchinson, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Jesus
Softfootball’s Prediction
Wolves desperately need a win, but their lack of attacking bite combined with Forest’s energy, especially on the counter, makes this another difficult outing for the hosts. Forest haven’t been perfect, but they’ve shown they can strike when it matters.
Softfootball predicts: Wolves 1–2 Nottingham Forest
