VfL Wolfsburg have announced via their official X account that veteran goalkeeper Pavao Pervan has signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2027.
The new deal ensures the 38-year-old will enter his ninth season with Wolfsburg since arriving from Linzer ASK in July 2018.

Softfootball understands that Pervan has become one of the club’s most experienced figures during his time in Germany. After Maximilian Arnold and Yannick Gerhardt, he is now among the longest serving players in the squad.

The Austrian shot-stopper has featured in over 100 Bundesliga matches for Wolfsburg, offering reliability and depth in goal as the team navigated several mid-table finishes in recent seasons.
Wearing the number 12 shirt, Pervan has made 45 competitive appearances for the Green-and-Whites across four competitions. Sporting director Pirmin Schwegler praised his influence at the club, stressing that personalities like Pervan are vital in any dressing room due to their professionalism, loyalty, and commitment.

Meanwhile, earlier in February it was reported that midfielder Mattias Svanberg would remain at Wolfsburg after no agreement was reached with Galatasaray S.K. over a potential transfer, bringing an end to speculation about a move to Istanbul.
Elsewhere, Santos FC have officially confirmed the signing of defender Lucas Veríssimo from Al-Duhail SC on a three-year contract, with an option for a further season.
The 30-year-old returns to Vila Belmiro five years after leaving the club, marking an emotional homecoming for the academy graduate. The transfer fee will be spread over four years, with the first installment scheduled for payment in December.
