One of the things Xabi Alonso needs to fix as he resume as the blues manager is Chelsea’s attack, Softfootball believes. This season, Chelsea’s attack was disappointing. For Chelsea to play five games in the 2025/26 season without scoring is shocking.

Garnacho, Gittens, Delap and Pedro Neto did not get up to 10 league goals combined. Delap has 1, Garnacho 1, Neto 5, Gittens did not score, that means 7 goals from four attacking players.

Now Chelsea will be playing one match every week, considering they did not qualify for European football. Cole Palmer had a very poor season, but still he provided 10 goals. Imagine Garnacho produced 5 goals, Gittens produced 4, Delap gave 6, Chelsea could have been in another position.

Now Enzo Fernández had 10 league goals and 5 assists, João Pedro had 15 league goals and 5 assists. Imagine everybody contributed goals like this in the Chelsea team, Chelsea could have won more games.
