West Ham United’s rising talent Ezra Mayers couldn’t hide his excitement after finally making his senior debut in the club’s 1–1 draw away to Brighton on Sunday, Softfootball reports.
The teenager, who has been steadily earning the trust of the coaching staff, has been included in recent matchday squads including midweek’s 1–1 result against Manchester United but had not yet stepped onto the pitch. That changed today, as Mayers was handed his long-awaited opportunity, a moment he described as the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

Speaking via West Ham’s official X handle, the youngster said:
Ezra I mean like ever since I was a little kid this was my dream, so to finally come on and make my debut, you know I have been on the bench recently for quite a lot. Yeah today I don’t know why but I thought this is the day I come on.

Mayers’ introduction marks another important step in West Ham’s commitment to integrating academy talent into the first team, and the club’s supporters will be eager to see how quickly the promising youngster builds on this milestone performance.
Mayers will now be hoping this debut becomes the first of many, as he looks to establish himself as a regular contributor in West Ham’s senior squad.
