Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany has called for full focus and intensity ahead of his side’s UEFA Champions League clash with Club Brugge tomorrow, as the Bavarians look to extend their impressive 35-game unbeaten home record in the competition, Softfootball reports.
The reigning Bundesliga champions have been flawless at the Allianz Arena in Europe and will be aiming to build on their 3-1 victory over Chelsea in their first home UCL fixture of the season.

Speaking ahead of the encounter to the press shared via the team official X handle, Kompany emphasized the need for discipline, pressing, and a winning mentality against a well-organized Brugge side known for upsetting big teams on European nights, he stated;
On preparing for Club Brugge:
Brugge is always a dangerous team, but we show respect to every opponent — the preparation is always the same. Then the question is: Are the guys in the right form, do they have confidence. It’s about winning, the mentality — but what always remains the same with us: We press and keep going until the last minute.” 💪
On the opponent:
Club Brugge is a working team, that’s very Belgian. They have repeatedly been able to achieve good results in Europe. It’s not an easy opponent, they are very dangerous. That’s why good preparation is so important.
Interestingly, Bayern Munich today earlier revealed via their official X handle, that that they have extended Vincent Kompany stay at the club for two more years, the Belgian has had success with the club in his short stint, guiding them to league title last season they lost to Bayer Leverkusen two seasons ago. On his contract extension:
I didn’t think about the timing at all, I was too busy with the preparations for the games. Then the question came up — and my request was only that it doesn’t become a big issue and that we can quickly refocus on the next game.

On life in Munich:
Privately, everything is fine here in Munich; it’s not hard to feel comfortable here with children. That has all helped. But my work environment is also very healthy — and I wanted to keep that calm
With the squad in strong form and confidence running high, Bayern fans will expect another commanding display under the lights at the Allianz Arena. Kompany’s emphasis on mentality and relentless pressing has defined his tenure so far, and tomorrow’s clash offers another chance for the German champions to show why they remain one of Europe’s most feared sides.
