Despite the setback, Arteta struck a passionate and defiant tone in his press conference, insisting his team are ready for the challenge ahead.
He said:
I’m on fire. That’s it. Nothing else. I’m dreaming so much. I’ve done so much to be in this position because I know how this club was. I’ve done so much against everything, and this is the beauty. It’s a huge opportunity and I want to get it done for all these people that have been in this journey with us because they deserve it. They’ve been unbelievable. That’s what is driving me every single day.
He continued:
I have zero fear. Fear I had before, but now there’s no fear. It’s just purpose, fire, direction, and conviction that we’re going to do it.

Arteta also made clear the mentality he expects in such a high-pressure night, saying:
No fear. Pure fire. That’s it. Me the first one. Pure fire. That’s what I want to see from the players and from myself. Go for it because the opportunity is unbelievable. We are in April, we are in a huge moment, and we must confront it.
He further added:
We are trying to do something that hasn’t been done in the history of this club. That tells you the difficulty. But we are here, and we are very, very close. What we have achieved already is incredible, but we want more.
