New Arsenal signing, Kepa Arrizabalaga has declared that the club is close to winning titles. The Spanish international goalkeeper joined the club from rival club, Chelsea after spending last season on loan at Bournemouth where he made 35 appearances in all competitions as the Cherries almost finished in continental spot.
The vastly traveled and experienced shot stopper has won major honours for clubs and his country and also has over a hundred Premier League appearances which was key to Arsenal wanting him in their team ahead of the new season.
The former Real Madrid player said after completing his contract details that he is “happy” to be at the club.
“I’m really, really happy to be here, really excited and looking forward to what is coming.
“The ambition that is shown in this club, when I talk with Mikel [Arteta] and Inaki [Cana], they show how much they desire to win. I think we are so close to winning and, hopefully, altogether, we can achieve it.”

Kepa became the world’s most expensive goalkeeper in August 2018 when he joined Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao and during his time in west London he won the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup. At Real Madrid where he spent the 2023/2024 season, he was crowned with the UEFA Champions League and the Spanish Super Cup for his efforts.
Arsenal’s new man will wear the number 13 shirt and will be behind the club’s number 1 and fellow Spanish national team teammate, David Raya in the rankings. Softfootball.com can confirm that Kepa will immediately join up with his new teammates at the Sobha Realty Training Centre
Kepa will replace Brazilian, Neto who was on loan from Bournemouth last season in the Arsenal squad. The new boy at Emirates stadium finished the 2023/24 season with 8 clean sheets from 31 games in the league.
