Fiorentina are closing in on the signing of highly rated Spanish midfielder Víctor Valdepeñas from Real Madrid after reaching a verbal agreement for the youngster’s transfer.
The Serie A side will pay €8 million, with Valdepeñas set to sign a contract running until June 2031. Real Madrid have also secured a 50% sell-on clause and retained significant future control over the player’s situation should offers arrive down the line.

The two clubs have already begun exchanging documents, with the move now progressing toward its final stages.
Valdepeñas had attracted interest from several top European clubs in recent months. Softfootball previously reported that Arsenal and AC Milan were closely monitoring the Real Madrid prospect ahead of a summer decision, but Fiorentina have moved decisively to win the race for his signature.
The deal represents another example of Real Madrid’s strategy of allowing talented academy players to continue their development elsewhere while protecting their long-term interests through sell-on clauses and future transfer rights. With the agreement now in place, Valdepeñas is set to begin the next chapter of his career in Florence.
