Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen was at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul last weekend, where he watched Ye (Kanye West) perform his historic concert on 30 May 2026.
The show reportedly attracted around 118,000 fans, making it one of the biggest concerts of Ye’s career and his first‑ever performance in Turkey. Reports also indicated it was his first concert in Europe since 2014.

Osimhen’s appearance comes shortly after he clarified the confusion surrounding his absence from the 2026 Unity Cup. Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle had earlier stated that the striker was focused on resolving his club future ahead of the new season, which ruled him out of the fixtures.
Softfootball understands that Osimhen has dismissed the interpretation of the Super Eagles manager’s remarks, urging fans not to misread or take Eric Chelle’s comments out of context.
The striker clarified that the coach’s statement had been misunderstood and appealed for supporters to avoid drawing conclusions that were never intended.
While Osimhen has enjoyed a successful spell in Turkey and maintains full respect for Galatasaray, he is open to taking the next step in his career if a top club is willing to meet his release clause and offer terms that reflect his status as one of the world’s elite strikers.
