UEFA Previews Key Fixtures as FIFA World Cup 2026 Ticket Sales Open

UEFA has outlined on their Official X handle a packed week of European football, with major fixtures and milestones across women’s competitions.

UEFA posted:

Coming up this week in European football… Hammarby IF host the first leg of the inaugural #UWEC final. Plus, the #UWCL reaches its semi-final stage, with Bayern München hosting Barcelona and OL Lyonnes travelling to Arsenal in the first legs.

Softfootball gathered Hammarby IF will host the first leg of the inaugural UWEC final, marking a historic moment for the competition. Meanwhile, the UEFA Women’s Champions League reaches its semi-final stage, with Bayern Munich taking on FC Barcelona, while Olympique Lyonnais travel to face Arsenal in the opening legs.

Off the pitch, UEFA has also confirmed that the UEFA Grassroots Award for Best Participation Initiative has been awarded to LTFutbolas in Lithuania, recognizing their Primary School League – Challenge Month for engaging over 10,000 children across more than 220 schools.

In a global update, FIFA has confirmed that the final ticket sales phase for the FIFA World Cup 2026 will begin on April 22. Tickets for all 104 matches will be released on a first-come, first-served basis, offering fans one of the last chances to secure seats for the tournament across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
