Olympique Marseille has reached a verbal agreement with Quinten Timber to join the Ligue 1 side from Feyenoord this January, Softfootball reports.
Quinten, who is younger brother to Arsenal’s defender Jurrien Timber, is keen to leave the Dutch league in their window. But why Quinten is looking to leave the Eredivisie, Arsenal are confident of extending the contract of Timber as he has been an important player for the Gunners.

Quinten must have watched his brother play in Arsenal’s goalless draw against Nottingham Forest on Sunday night. Now, he wants to just a side that would be competing in a better league.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, he informs that the deal is as good as done. He wrote:
Olympique Marseille are set to sign Quinten Timber from Feyenoord, here we go soon! Verbal agreement done with Timber on the salary and talks at final stages with Feyenoord on transfer fee. Final club to club a detail being sorted in next 24h as Timber wants #OM.
Quinten was in action for Feyenoord when they lost to Aston Villa in the Europa League. The midfielder has tasted top game experience and wants more which has influenced his decision to move away from the Dutch league.

Timber is a key box-to-box midfielder for Feyenoord, known for his ball control, passing, and physical presence, having joined in 2022 from Utrecht. He quickly became captain of the club.
He won the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup, and earned his international caps for the Netherlands. He also represents the Netherlands at the senior international level, further showcasing his growing stature in football.
