Real Madrid are reportedly keen on signing a seasoned centre-forward this summer, as Xabi Alonso aims to strengthen the depth of his attack. With Kylian Mbappe expected to lead the line, the club wants an experienced alternative who can step in when needed—just as Joselu did so effectively last season.
Among the names being considered is Osasuna’s Ante Budimir, whose consistent scoring record over the past two La Liga campaigns has caught the attention of the Bernabeu hierarchy. At 33, he may not be a long-term solution, but with 24 goals last season and 71 total for Osasuna, his clinical presence could be vital in tightly contested fixtures.
Another candidate is Niclas Fullkrug. Despite an underwhelming debut season at West Ham plagued by injuries, the 32-year-old has an impressive record from his time in the Bundesliga, including a 15-goal haul at Dortmund. His physicality, aerial strength, and link-up play align with what Real Madrid are looking for in a support striker.

Roberto Firmino is also under consideration. The Brazilian forward, now at Al-Ahli, recorded 12 goals and 10 assists in his latest campaign. With a history of delivering in high-stakes matches and years of Premier League and Champions League experience, Firmino could offer a different kind of depth—more technical and creative—with minimal financial risk.
While none of these names may excite like a marquee signing, all three would bring proven ability and a steady presence off the bench, qualities Alonso values highly as Real Madrid prepare to compete across multiple fronts in 2025–26.
