The Thomas Frank era at Tottenham Hotspur will get underway on home soil, with Spurs hosting Burnley on August 16 to kick off their 2025–26 Premier League campaign.
Despite securing Europa League silverware, a miserable domestic showing saw Spurs finish 17th last season – a collapse that proved the end of Ange Postecoglou’s tenure. Former Brentford boss Frank now takes the reins, tasked with restoring pride and European consistency in north London.
Frank’s first real tests come quickly. Spurs face a daunting trip to Manchester City in just their second fixture, with a Champions League group stage debut following in mid-September. November will feature a huge run of games, including home ties with Chelsea and Manchester United, and the first north London derby of the season away at Arsenal on November 22.
Adding intrigue to December, Frank faces his former side Brentford twice – home on the 6th and away on the 30th – while other festive fixtures include a home match against Liverpool and trips to Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, and Crystal Palace.
Spurs have made an early splash in the transfer market by securing Mathys Tel on a permanent deal from Bayern Munich for £30 million. The young French forward, who scored three goals after joining on loan in January, will be central to Tottenham’s attacking plans. There’s also interest in Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo – although Manchester United are also keen on the Cameroon international.
Tottenham will look to the new year for a resurgence. January brings home clashes with West Ham and Manchester City, with the reverse derby against Arsenal falling on February 21 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs end the campaign against Everton at home on May 24, having also wrapped up trips to Aston Villa and Chelsea in the preceding weeks.
Frank’s challenge is clear: stabilize, compete, and bring optimism back to N17. The fixture list leaves little room for error.
