Super Eagles defender Igho Ogbu has been ruled out of Nigeria’s international friendly against Portugal on Wednesday, after suffering a serious injury during training.
Internals sources in the supereagles camp, reveals to Softfootball the centre‑back is suspected to have ruptured his left Achilles tendon, an injury he sustained during the Super Eagles’ session this evening. Ogbu immediately withdrew from training as medical staff attended to him on the pitch.
He will now undergo further assessment to determine the full extent of the damage and the expected recovery timeline.
