Bacary Sagna has called on Manchester United to sell Mason Mount and Alejandro Garnacho as the club nears a summer move for Matheus Cunha.
The Red Devils are leading the race for the Brazilian playmaker, who has impressed at Wolves. Sagna described Cunha as a “top player” but questioned whether his signing would be enough to turn United’s fortunes around, stressing that it’s about the whole team, not just one individual.
Sagna also commented on United’s transfer strategy, suggesting that Mount, who has struggled with injuries since his £60m move from Chelsea, may leave. He also believes it’s time for Garnacho to seek more consistent playing time elsewhere after a disappointing season.
Sagna pointed out that United’s aging defense and goalkeeper issues need addressing, especially in terms of finding a keeper who focuses more on shot-stopping than playing out from the back.
