Neymar’s post for Rodrygo after ACL injury… “Today is one of the saddest days for me. When I found out about the injury, a movie played in my head. All the suffering, all the anguish, and the fear of going through this injury! My 10, my boy, my heir (that’s what I call you), I only ask you one thing… now it’s time to put everyone you love around you… And as you said, you don’t deserve to go through this right now… but who are we to question God’s plans

Little brother… STRENGTH, I’m sure you’ll come back flying. I love you

in the same way you gave me support, I’ll be here for you!”.

Neymar described it as one of his “saddest days,” calling Rodrygo his “heir” and “little brother,” and vowed to stand by him during recovery.

Rodrygo sustained the injury on March 2 during a 1–0 defeat to Getafe. His knee became trapped in a challenge in the 66th minute, shortly after returning from a month-long absence due to tendinitis.

Softfootball reported that The 25-year-old is expected to be sidelined for 6 to 10 months, ruling him out for the rest of the season and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Before the setback, Rodrygo had spoken about working to regain trust at Madrid after falling down the pecking order earlier in the campaign. With Kylian Mbappé also out with a knee sprain, Madrid’s attack is severely weakened as they trail Barcelona in La Liga.
