Real Madrid bring in families for Club World Cup semifinal clash vs PSG

Real Madrid are intensifying preparations for their Club World Cup semifinal against Paris Saint-Germain by reportedly flying in the families of their players and coaching staff to the United States.

According to Javier Rodríguez Pascual, the Spanish giants have taken this decision to offer emotional and psychological support as they aim to reach the final of the tournament. The journalist wrote on Twitter saying:

“Real Madrid will have extra support in the semifinals against PSG. The families of the players and technical staff will travel to the USA to accompany the team for the remainder of the Club World Cup”

Softfootball understands that the squad has already traveled following their dramatic 3–2 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals, and now they’ll be joined by loved ones for the final stretch of the competition. The semifinal against PSG is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 9, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The road to the semifinals has seen some intense action. PSG triumphed over Bayern Munich, while Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund to seal their place. With these victories, the stage is set for what could become a classic Club World Cup showdown.

This move is seen as part of Real Madrid’s wider strategy to ensure the players remain mentally and emotionally strong during a high-pressure campaign away from home. The presence of families is expected to create a more familiar and comfortable environment for the team.

The Club World Cup marks another opportunity for Los Blancos to add silverware to their trophy cabinet, and with a place in the final at stake, the club is doing everything possible to give the players an added edge on and off the pitch.

This semifinal is not just another football match it is a meeting of two global brands, with PSG’s rising star power and Real Madrid’s storied legacy making this clash a must-watch.

Before Real Madrid can start dreaming of lifting their first piece of silverware under Xabi Alonso, they first must secure a victory in the semifinals against the defending European champions.

In an earlier post, Softfootball had reported that Arsenal transfer target Rodrygo sends clear message to Real Madrid amid snub. The Brazilian winger, once considered untouchable at Real Madrid, now finds himself at a crossroads.

Rodrygo started his fourth FIFA Club World Cup match in a row from the bench on Saturday night, only emerging for the final five minutes of Los Blancos’ quarter-final vs Borussia Dortmund. His only start was in the group stage opener against Al-Hilal almost one month ago, and for two of the four times he was named on the bench, Rodrygo did not play a part at all.

Reports elsewhere suggest in retaliation to being kept out of the starting XI by Alonso on Saturday night, the player deleted a pre-match graphic posted to his Instagram profile.
