Brazilian winger, Raphinha has acknowledged that he is annoying to teammates but believes it is important for the team, Softfootball understands.

Raphinha was handed a starting shirt by Hansi Flick as Barcelona defeated Alaves 3-1 at the new refurbished Camp Nou to go top of the league but Real Madrid can reclaim top spot if they beat Girona on Sunday at the Estadi Montilivi.

Raphinha in an interview after the match against Alaves which was shared on the official X handle of football expert, Fabrizio Romano, is aware of his behaviour of annoying teammates but got the perfect excuse. He said:

Sometimes I feel like I’m annoying for my teammates, but I feel it’s important. I demand more from players that I know that are capable. If there has to be someone annoying in the dressing room, I don’t mind if it’s me.

Interestingly, Raphinha claimed recently that he misses the team more than they miss him. But the Brazilian will be most delighted that since they returned to Camp Nou they’ve been winning matches and look to have returned to form.

However, Alaves gave them a scare as Pablo Ibáñez scored in the first minute of the encounter. It took Barcelona just eight minutes to equalize and the goal came from Spain superstar, 18-year-old Lamine Yamal. Barcelona finished the first half ontop as Dani Olmo gave the home side the lead.

Barcelona controlled the game from there and Dani Olmo completed his brace with his second for the night as the Catalan giants won 3-1 and went to 31 points, one above archrivals Real Madrid, who play on Sunday against Girona.
