Paris Saint-Germain secured a dominant 4-0 win over Inter Miami on Sunday to book their place in the quarter-finals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. A blistering first-half display saw Luis Enrique’s men dismantle the MLS outfit, with all four goals coming before the break.
Joao Neves starred for the reigning European champions, opening the scoring in the sixth minute with a sharp header from a Vitinha free-kick. He doubled PSG’s lead in the 39th minute, finishing off a flowing team move assisted by Fabian Ruiz.

Just before the interval, Inter Miami’s Tomas Aviles turned a low cross from Desire Doue into his own net, compounding his side’s misery. Moments later, Achraf Hakimi made it 4-0, firing home a rebound after his initial effort struck the bar.
Despite fielding Lionel Messi, Inter Miami were outclassed throughout, with PSG controlling 66% possession and registering 19 shots to Miami’s seven. Messi’s presence was a non-factor as his teammates struggled to cope with the French giants’ pace and intensity.

Man of the Match – Joao Neves
The 20-year-old Portuguese midfielder delivered a standout performance with two goals, a 95% pass success rate, and complete midfield dominance over experienced names like Sergio Busquets. Although Hakimi impressed with his attacking runs and final goal, Neves was PSG’s top performer.
