Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on new deal with higher salary for William Pacho. New contract being finalised — it will be valid until June 2030. Excellent move in summer 2024 strongly wanted by Luis Campos, seen as key part of Luis Enrique’s squad.
The 23-year-old Ecuadorian has been one of the most consistent players under Luis Enrique this season. Since moving from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2024, Pacho has looked right at home in Paris. Calm with the ball, strong in the air, and ridiculously composed for his age, he’s been key to PSG’s defence. Softfootball understands his passing accuracy in the Champions League sits around 94.5%, which kind of tells you how tidy he is when building from the back.
He’s featured in most of PSG’s Ligue 1 and Champions League games this term and hasn’t missed a bit in their charge to defend all their titles. Fans especially noticed him in that 2–1 win away against Barcelona; he barely put a foot wrong the whole game.

Sporting director Luis Campos, who was a big believer in bringing him from Frankfurt, sees Pacho as one of the cornerstones for the future. Manager Luis Enrique also can’t stop praising him, calling him mature beyond his years and tactically sharp and, of course, he will be amongst the players called up by Luis Enrique, and the Spaniard revealed his team will not be fazed by adversity when they face Strasbourg.
Some outlets earlier claimed his new deal would run till 2031, but sources close to the club say 2030 is the right date. PSG want to wrap it up soon and move on to other renewals—Fabián Ruiz, Warren Zaïre-Emery, and Bradley Barcola are next in line.
For Ecuador too, Pacho’s been solid with eight caps in 2025 already and fast becoming a regular. At just 23, his calm and confidence make him look like a veteran. PSG seem to know exactly what they’ve got on their hands a gem who’s only getting better.
