Softfootball can confirm Bradley Barcola has suffered a major injury setback after sustaining a severe ligament sprain in his right ankle during Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League clash with Chelsea FC.
Despite the setback, PSG delivered a dominant performance, securing a 3–0 victory on the night and an emphatic 8–2 aggregate win to book their place in the quarter-finals. They will now face either Galatasaray SK or Liverpool FC in the next round.
The development was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano via his X handle, with PSG later issuing an official statement revealing that the winger will be sidelined for the coming weeks. As a result, Barcola is also set to miss his upcoming international call-up with France national football team.

Romano stated:
Bradley Barcola has suffered severe ligament sprain on his right ankle during match vs Chelsea. He is set to be unavailable for the coming weeks, PSG confirm. Barcola will also miss France call.
Barcola was forced off just before the hour mark during the Champions League Round of 16 second leg at Stamford Bridge after appearing to struggle with the injury.
The French forward had been in fine form, scoring in both legs against Chelsea—his first goals in the competition since February last year.
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior also confirmed that defender Trevoh Chalobah suffered a suspected ankle ligament injury during the same match.
