PSG block transfer bids for Bradley Barcola this summer

Bradley Barcola’s standout season with Paris Saint-Germain has sparked interest from several European giants, but the Ligue 1 champions have no plans to part ways with the talented winger. Despite receiving formal approaches from Chelsea, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich, PSG are determined to keep the 22-year-old in Paris.

Barcola recently helped PSG clinch both the Ligue 1 title and the UEFA Champions League, contributing 14 goals and 11 assists in domestic competition and playing a vital role in Europe with seven more goal involvements across 17 matches. His form earned him a spot in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year and elevated his market value significantly.

Although Liverpool had previously shown interest earlier in the window, Barcola was reportedly not keen on a move to Anfield. His £100 million price tag didn’t discourage new suitors either, with Chelsea and Arsenal making fresh moves. However, PSG’s stance remains firm: Barcola is not for sale.

Part of PSG’s resolve stems from Luis Enrique’s belief in Barcola as a core part of the team’s future. Even though the winger faces competition from high-profile names like Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, PSG remain confident that he will continue to thrive within their setup.

Barcola, who joined PSG from Lyon two years ago, is contracted at the Parc des Princes until June 2028. Crucially, the player himself has shown no desire to leave, further solidifying the club’s position during this transfer window.

While Chelsea, Arsenal, and Bayern hoped that his rotation status might open the door to a potential exit, PSG have shut that idea down swiftly. All three clubs have been turned away, with the French champions fully intent on building their next era around stars like Barcola.
