Kiernan Frank Dewsbury-Hall (born 6 September 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Chelsea.

Career

Leicester City

Early Career

Born in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Dewsbury-Hall grew up in Shepshed, Leicestershire. He joined the Leicester City Academy in 2006 at the age of eight, having previously played for Shepshed Dynamo Warriors in the Leicester Mutual League. After progressing through the youth ranks, he signed his first professional contract with Leicester in 2017 and was named Development Squad Player of the Year in 2019.

Loans and First-Team Breakthrough

Dewsbury-Hall made his first-team debut for Leicester City on 25 January 2020 in a 1–0 FA Cup victory over Brentford, coming on as a substitute for Kelechi Iheanacho. Two days later, he was loaned to Blackpool for the remainder of the 2019–20 season, scoring on his debut in a 2–1 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.

In October 2020, Dewsbury-Hall signed a four-year contract with Leicester before joining Luton Town on a season-long loan. He impressed during his time at Luton, winning four end-of-season awards, including Players’ Player of the Season.

Upon returning to Leicester, he made his Premier League debut on 28 August 2021 in a 2–1 victory over Norwich City. His first goal for Leicester came on 10 December 2021, in a 3–2 loss against Napoli in the Europa League. He later scored his first Premier League goal on 10 April 2022 in a 2–1 win over Crystal Palace.

In June 2022, he signed a new long-term contract with Leicester until 2027.

Promotion to the Premier League

Dewsbury-Hall played a crucial role in Leicester’s 2023–24 Championship-winning campaign, scoring twice on the opening day against Coventry City, including a late winner. He finished the season with 12 goals and 14 assists, earning a place in the EFL Championship Team of the Season and winning Leicester’s Players’ Player of the Season and Men’s Player of the Season awards.

Chelsea

On 2 July 2024, Dewsbury-Hall signed for Chelsea in a £30 million transfer, reuniting with former Leicester manager Enzo Maresca. He made his Chelsea debut on 18 August 2024, coming on as a substitute in a 2–0 defeat to Manchester City.
