Born on August 2, 2006, in Barcelona, Catalonia, Héctor Fort García began his footballing journey at PB Anguera before joining the prestigious La Masia academy. He progressed through the ranks, representing Barcelona’s Juvenil A team during the 2022–23 season, where he played in all six matches of the UEFA Youth League campaign. His solid performances at the youth level set the foundation for his future rise within the club.

Club Career

Fort first gained recognition during Barcelona’s preseason preparations ahead of the 2023–24 season. On June 6, 2023, he made his uncompetitive debut for the first team in a friendly against Vissel Kobe, one of six players to feature for the senior squad for the first time.

Later that year, he was promoted to Barcelona Atlètic, the club’s reserve team. He made his competitive debut for the squad on August 28, 2023, in a 1–0 loss against SD Logroñés in the Primera Federación season opener.

Fort’s senior team breakthrough came on December 13, 2023, when he made his first appearance for Barcelona’s first team in a UEFA Champions League group-stage match against Royal Antwerp. Despite the team losing 3–2, his debut marked a significant milestone in his young career.

Recognizing his potential, Barcelona secured Fort’s future at the club by extending his contract on May 28, 2024. The new deal ties him to the club until June 30, 2026, further solidifying his place in Barcelona’s plans for the future.

International Career
