Alexei Rojas Fedorushchenko (Russian: Алексей Рохас Федорущенко) was born on 28 September 2005. He is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Arsenal’s youth academy. Born in England and educated at Parmiter’s School, Rojas is eligible to represent England, Colombia, or Russia at the international level due to his diverse heritage. His father is Colombian, and his mother is Russian.

Club Career

Rojas began playing football at the age of five with Boreham Wood, later moving to St Albans City and London Colney Colts to develop his skills. His talent earned him a place in Chelsea’s youth setup before he ultimately joined Arsenal’s prestigious academy in 2019. Since then, he has continued to hone his abilities, striving to break through the ranks at the North London club.

International Career

Eligible to represent England, Colombia, and Russia, Rojas chose to align with Colombia on the international stage. On 4 January 2023, he received a call-up from Colombia U20 manager Héctor Cárdenas for the 2023 South American U-20 Championship, a significant tournament held in Colombia. While he was part of the squad that secured a third-place finish, he remained an unused substitute throughout the competition, with Luis Marquinez occupying the first-choice goalkeeper position.

With a promising future ahead, Rojas continues to develop his skills, aiming for opportunities at both club and international levels.
