Pep Guardiola has delivered an emotional reaction to Bernardo Silva’s impending departure from Manchester City, Softfootball reports.
The Portuguese midfielder has already confirmed he will leave City as a free agent in June 2026, bringing an end to a hugely successful spell. He is expected to assess offers and decide his next destination ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
According to comments shared by Fabrizio Romano on his X handle, Guardiola reflected on Silva’s impact over nine years at the club.

Romano posted:
Pep Guardiola on Bernardo Silva: Part of myself is leaving too. It’ll be difficult to imagine without him. On and off the pitch, during nine years, he’s been massively, massively, massively important.
Silva had already decided earlier this month to move on at the end of the season, bringing an end to a successful spell at Manchester City.

Silva’s exit comes at a crucial moment for City, with Guardiola stressing that the title race remains alive but leaves no margin for error, especially after Arsenal FC dropped points against AFC Bournemouth.
