Paris Saint-Germain fans helped us secure point against Strasbourg – Enrique

Paris Saint-Germain Coach, Luis Enrique has hailed the club fans for helping his side avoid defeat in the Match-Day 8 of Ligue 1, Softfootball reports.

The match that was play immediately after the international break saw PSG draw 2-2 against Strasbourg courtesy of a late second half equaliser from Senny Mayulu.

Reacting to the result after the encounter, a very calm Enrique in an interview shared via PSG’s official X handle praised the supporters for their role. He said:

We managed to come back from two goals down with our supporters.

Bradley Barcola gave PSG an early lead but Strabourg responded with two goals of their own. Joaquín Panichelli and Diego Moreira scored each before the end of the first half to give the away side the advantage.

Panichelli then scored again to make it 3-1 before PSG won a penalty and Portugal international, Gonçalo Ramos converted it in the 58th minute to reduce the deficit and with time running away out, Senny Mayulu stepped out and equalised in the 79th minute for PSG to send the fans into a wide frenzy and it it 3-3. No more goals were scored as both sides shared a point each.

Paris Saint-Germain are top of the table with 17 points, Strasbourg in second with 16 points after eight matches so far but Marseille currently on 15 points can go to if they beat Le Havre on Saturday.
