Softfootball understands that Ousmane Dembélé was the standout figure once again as Paris Saint-Germain eased to a convincing 3–0 victory over Lille, moving two points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
The French champions needed a response after their 1-0 defeat to Paris FC leading to an early shocking Coupe de France exit earlier in the week.
After the game, PSG shared a post about the result via their official X account.

PSG actually began the night looking a little unsure. Lille almost stunned the Parc des Princes early on when Olivier Giroud rattled the crossbar, a warning sign that briefly silenced the home crowd.
But that moment didn’t last long. In the 13th minute, Dembélé calmed nerves with a goal of real quality, latching onto a clever Vitinha pass and firing a left-footed strike from the edge of the box that clipped the post on its way in. It was his sixth goal involvement in as many games against Lille, and it showed.

Luis Enrique, who recently dismissed PSG exit rumours, pushed his side for more but didn’t exactly run away with things before the break. Désiré Doué forced a routine save from Berke Özer.
Lille had their own chance to bite back too, as Ngal’ayel Mukau’s snapshot flew just wide, giving Bruno Génésio’s team some belief heading into half-time.

After the restart, PSG were patient, maybe too patient at times. Lille sat deep and stayed organised, frustrating the hosts for long spells. Mendes thought he’d scored, only for it to be ruled out for offside against Dembélé, before blazing another chance over from close range.
Then came the moment of the match. Dembélé danced past multiple defenders inside the box and produced a sublime chipped finish over Özer.

Doué nearly added a third soon after but was denied again by Özer. In the end, PSG wrapped it up in stoppage time when Bradley Barcola punished a late defensive lapse to make it 3–0.
It was a comfortable win, all things considered, and the right response to Monday’s cup disappointment. PSG now lay down a clear marker to Lens ahead of their weekend clash with Auxerre. For Lille, a third straight defeat in all competitions hurts their European hopes, even if the table damage may stay limited for now.
