Antoine Griezmann’s potential move from Atlético Madrid to Orlando City has reached a crucial stage, with the MLS side prepared to wait until the June transfer window if a deal cannot be completed in March.
Reports from Fabrizio Romano via their official x handle indicate that Orlando City officials have already held advanced talks over a possible free transfer in the summer.

The club’s sporting director has reportedly traveled to Madrid several times to progress negotiations. However, Atlético are reluctant to let the French forward leave immediately because he remains an important part of Diego Simeone’s squad.
Romano posted;
Orlando City are prepared to wait until June to sign Antoine Griezmann if Atlético Madrid close doors to exit this month. Understand Orlando City already started talks with Atléti also over potential FREE deal only for the summer. Final decision up to Griezmann and Atléti.
Despite the transfer speculation, Griezmann continues to contribute on the pitch. He recently scored a decisive 61st-minute free kick to secure a 1–0 victory over Deportivo La Coruña in the Copa del Rey. Earlier in the La Liga campaign, he also netted the winning goal in a 2–1 victory against Valencia.
This season, Softftooball reported that Griezmann has often delivered crucial moments as a substitute, becoming one of the most effective impact players across Europe’s top leagues. While interest from MLS grows stronger, the final decision over his future will depend on both Atlético Madrid and the player himself in the coming months.
