Nigerian born forward Kazeem Olaigbe has been shortlisted for the UEFA Europa Conference League Goal of the Week, following a brace and an assist in Cercle Brugge’s 4-1 win over Olimpija Ljubljana.
The 21-year-old was involved in almost every attacking phase of the match, scoring in the second and 81st minutes while also teeing up Kevin Denkey for the visitors’ fourth goal of the night.
Softfootball understands his second goal, a powerful strike from outside the box after dribbling past two defenders, has been singled out as the standout contender for the award.

Olaigbe has now scored six goals in all competitions for Cercle Brugge this season, including four in European competition alone, underlining his growing importance to the Belgian side’s continental campaign.
He faces competition for the award from Djurgarden defender Keita Kosugi, with the winner expected to be announced in the coming days.
