The 24-year-old has established himself as Udinese’s first-choice goalkeeper since the second half of last season, playing a pivotal role in the club’s Serie A survival during the 2023/24 campaign.

Okoye has impressed with a number of crucial saves this season, earning praise for his consistency and composure between the posts. His absence will force Udinese to rely on their backup options as they navigate a busy run of league fixtures.

He has made 14 league appearances so far this season, and his absence is expected to be keenly felt as Udinese continue their fight in the top flight without their regular number one.
