Slavia Prague defender Igoh Ogbu believes coming up against elite strikers such as Romelu Lukaku, Olivier Giroud and Omar Marmoush has helped elevate his game.
The Nigerian centre-back has faced several top forwards in European competition, including Giroud during Slavia Prague’s UEFA Europa League clash with AC Milan, as well as Lukaku and Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush.
Softfootball understands Ogbu views those encounters as valuable experiences in his development. Speaking to TribalFootball, Ogbu said:
Playing against Giroud, Lukaku, and Marmoush can be described as a good experience for me, a great thing.

The 25-year-old singled out Lukaku’s physicality while insisting he never felt intimidated by any of the high-profile forwards.
Lukaku is a very strong striker, Olivier Giroud, and Marmoush as well, who everybody knows; the experience is there. I wasn’t stressed at all,
he said.
Ogbu added that facing some of Europe’s top attackers has given him the confidence to compete against any forward.
After playing against Lukaku, I think I don’t have any fear against any striker,
he added.
