Reports claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo has left Saudi Arabia for Madrid with his family have been firmly denied. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano labeled the rumors “fake news” on March 3, 2026 via their x handle, confirming that the Portuguese star remains in Riyadh and is currently undergoing treatment at Al Nassr FC’s training ground.

Reports on international media about Cristiano Ronaldo who left Saudi Arabia with his family are wide of mark. It’s a fake news as Cristiano is now doing threatment at Al Nassr training ground after issues in last game. Cristiano has not left Saudi to return to Madrid.

The speculation followed an injury scare during Al Nassr’s 3–1 win over Al-Fayha FC on February 28. Softfootball reported that Ronaldo endured a frustrating night, missing a 9th-minute penalty before being substituted in the 80th minute after signaling muscle discomfort.

He was later seen with an ice pack and visited a medical center on March 2 for a precautionary MRI. Manager Jorge Jesus described the substitution as preventive, aimed at avoiding further risk.

Despite the setback, Ronaldo recently reached his 965th career goal in a 5–0 victory over Al Najma, moving within 35 goals of the historic 1,000 mark. Off the pitch, he has expanded his influence by acquiring a 25% stake in UD Almería through CR7 Sports Investments.

For now, Ronaldo remains focused on recovery and Al Nassr’s title push.
