Roberto Mancini will not be Nottingham Forest after failing to agree terms with the club, Softfootball reports.

The former Manchester City manager is interested in a move back to Italy as he is currently without a job and Forest are keen on signing a new Coach after the sacking of Ange Postecoglou following the 3-0 defeat against Chelsea.

According to football expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, both parties have held talks but no agreement reached. He wrote:

After talks in the last 24h, Roberto Mancini won’t become new Nottingham Forest manager at current stage.

Despite discussions and negotiations, Forest and Mancini have not reached an agreement.

Forest fired Nuno Spirito Santo in September and employed Ange Postecoglou but the former Tottenham Hotspur manager failed to win any of the seven matches he played in-charge of the club.

However, the 60-year-old Mancini, who guided Manchester City to the premier league title in 2012 and Italy to the EURO 2020 crown, looks set to remain without a team. Rumours had it that Mancini is eyeing Ruben Amorim’s job at Manchester United despite the Red Devils owners willing to give the Portuguese three years at the club.

Nottingham Forest continues their search for a new manager with former Burnley Coach, Sean Dyche interested in becoming the new man in-charge at City Ground.
