Nicolò Tresoldi has opened up about his international future, explaining his connection to Italy, Germany and Argentina while refusing to rush a decision on which national team he will represent.
The young forward acknowledged his Italian and German backgrounds while revealing that his mother is Argentinian, leaving him with a unique connection to three footballing nations.
Tresoldi explained that although he is Italian, his identity extends beyond one country, highlighting the different cultural influences within his family. He also made it clear that he intends to take his time before deciding which national team to represent.
His position leaves the door open to a potential international future with Italy, Germany or Argentina, with the final decision expected when he feels the time is right.
Softfootball understands that Tresoldi’s international eligibility and eventual choice could become an important talking point as his career develops. With three national teams potentially connected to his background, his decision will be closely watched by supporters of each country.
Meanwhile, attention has also turned to Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin, with Italian clubs reportedly monitoring his situation ahead of the January transfer window.
Dragusin previously established himself in Italian football before moving to Tottenham, making a possible return to Serie A an interesting prospect for clubs seeking defensive reinforcements.
His familiarity with Italian football could make him an attractive option for teams looking to strengthen their backlines during the winter transfer period. However, any potential move would depend on the interest involved, Tottenham’s position and the terms of a possible deal.
As the January window approaches, Dragusin’s future could become another storyline worth following, while Tresoldi continues to weigh his international options.
Both situations highlight how important career decisions can shape the next stage of a footballer’s journey.
