German international, Nick Woltemade has hailed Newcastle United teammate, Malick Thiaw as an unbelievable player, Softfootball reports.

Thiaw picked up the Man-of-the-Match award after he scored a brace in Newcastle’s 4-1 win over Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the Premier League Match-Day 13.

After the game during the post-match interview shared on Newcastle’s official X handle, Woltemade hailed the defender, on loan from Serie A giants Juventus. He said:

Unbelievable player. We were making jokes that he can’t head and today he did two headers. Yesterday, he wanted to train headers but the rain was so bad so we couldn’t train. But I think he don’t need it anymore if he scores.

Newcastle beat Manchester City 2-1 last weekend but the away win against Everton looked more impressive as they scored four goals past their confident opponent, after they defeated Manchester United 1-0 with 10-men at Old Trafford last weekend.

Malick Thiaw scored the fastest goals in the premier league this season with his 55 second header past Jordan Pickford. Lewis Miley made it 2-0 before Thiaw’s German teammate Nick Woltemade completed a first half rout with a sublime third goal when he dinked the goalkeeper.

Everton got a consolation goal through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who scored the winner against Manchester United last weekend but Malick Thiaw ensured that the three goals cushion was restored with another headed goal to make it 4-1.

Here is the full interview of Nick Woltemade with Thiaw standing next to him during the interview as shared via Newcastle’s official X handle. Watch below.

Newcastle United will hosts Tottenham Hotspur on December 2 in the Match-Day 14 of the premier league while Everton will face Bournemouth.
