Newcastle United have now turned to Kolo Muani after being defeated to Benjamin Sesko by Manchester United. Softfootball reported how Manchester United reached a breakthrough with Sesko on a deal to bring him to Old Trafford.
Sesko had been a subject of interest from so many clubs this summer. Arsenal were the first team to make enquiries but did not make a deal before Liverpool and Chelsea were linked. United and Newcastle United became the last two teams to go loggerheads for the Slovenian striker.

United however knocked Newcastle off after Sesko agreed personal terms and United’s 5 years offer. This Sesko saga now made it, two times in which Eddie Howe’s side are being bullied in Germany.
Liverpool had also earlier hijacked Newcastle’s move for Hugo Ekitike. Ekitike has since joined the Reds and have debuted for them.
With all the knockouts in Germany, the Magpies have now traveled to France to pick want away French striker, Koko Muani. Kolo had been pushing for a move to Juventus where he spent the rest of last season on loan but a deal is yet to be agreed between Juventus and PSG.
Noticing the loophole and an urgent need for a striker as Alexander Isak is unsure about his future with the club, Newcastle quickly identified Kolo as another option.
The striker regained form after joining Juventus on loan scoring 8 goals and making a goal in 16 matches. Juventus are finding it hard to finalise his return to the club as they only want to bring back on another loan.
With money in the bag for Newcastle, PSG might be interested in what the English side has to offer for the striker.
Relating the recent update on Kolo, Florian Plettenberg posted on his verified X handle that Newcastle have made first contacts.
He wrote:
“BREAKING | Newcastle United have opened negotiations with Randal Kolo Muani!
“The 26 y/o is now high on Newcastle’s shortlist after their move for Benjamin Sesko fell through. While #NUFC are exploring other options, Kolo Muani is a concrete target. Contract with Paris Saint-Germain valid until 2028.”
Unlike Liverpool’s pursuit of Barcola, PSG will be willing to let Kolo join Newcastle United this summer.
