Jose Mourinho will be delighted ahead of next season as Fenerbahçe has secured agreement with Jhon Durán on a season long loan, Softfootball reports.
The 21-year-old left Aston Villa on Deadline day to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr to play with Cristiano Ronaldo but after just six months the Colombian got tired of playing in Asia and wanted a move back to Europe despite being on huge wages.
Durán’s deal at the time scuppered Al Nassr’s €65million offer for Nigerian and Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal to take Durán to Fenerbahçe is done and dusted. He reports: “Jhon Durán to Fenerbahçe, here we go! Agreement in place between all parties involved.
“Al Nassr let Durán leave on initial loan with full salary covered until June 2026.
“Durán has accepted Fener proposal after director Devin Özek travelled to Colombia.”

Softfootball had earlier reported that Jhon Durán has agreed a mouthwatering deal with Fenerbahçe. The young striker is now expected to have his medical this week for the club to make official announcement of his arrival.
Durán scored eight goals in 13 Saudi Arabia Pro League matches for Al Nassr before his switch to Fenerbahçe where he is expected to replace the departed Edin Dzeko next season.
