Liverpool are closing in on their second major signing of the summer with a deal for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez nearing completion. The 21-year-old has emerged as the club’s top defensive target following two standout seasons on the south coast.

The transfer is reportedly worth £45 million, and Kerkez’s father, Sebastijan, has confirmed that the move is essentially complete. Personal terms have already been agreed, and only minor details remain before the transfer is finalised.

Kerkez has attracted interest from juventus, Manchester United and Chelsea, but his camp has made it clear that Liverpool is the only club they are willing to negotiate with. His father emphasized their loyalty to Liverpool’s new sporting director Richard Hughes, who previously brought the player to Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, Kerkez’s impending arrival could spell the end of Andy Robertson’s time at Anfield. Atletico Madrid are keen on the Scottish defender and have already initiated talks with Liverpool over a potential transfer.

This move would follow Liverpool’s earlier success in securing a £116 million deal for Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, showing Arne Slot’s intent to reshape the squad early in his tenure.

Strengthening both midfield and defence is clearly a priority for the Premier League champions as they prepare for the new campaign.
