Michael Keane has officially committed his future to Everton FC, signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until June 2027, Softfootball reports.

The announcement comes shortly after Everton’s dramatic 2–1 defeat to Liverpool FC in the Merseyside Derby, where Virgil van Dijk scored a late winner.

The agreement, confirmed by Fabrizio Romano on his Official X handle, ensures the experienced centre-back will reach a decade of service at Goodison Park a milestone he described as a “big achievement.”

Romano stated:

Michael Keane stays at Everton with new deal signed today until June 2027.

Keane, 33, has been a key figure in Everton’s setup under David Moyes, playing an important role in the club’s ongoing rebuild. He has made 30 appearances across all competitions this season, underlining his continued importance despite increasing competition within the squad.

Since joining from Burnley FC in July 2017, Keane has gone on to make 259 appearances for Everton, scoring 19 goals an impressive return for a defender.
