OFFICIAL: Real Madrid statement on Kylian Mbappé injury. “After the tests carried out on our player Kylian Mbappé by French medical specialists, under the supervision of the Real Madrid Medical Services, the diagnosis of sprained left knee and the suitability of the conservative treatment that is being followed are confirmed. Pending evolution”.
The club announced on March 2, 2026, that Mbappé will undergo conservative treatment, with surgery ruled out for now. However, no clear return date has been established, and his availability remains subject to evolution.
The injury is believed to be a recurrence of a persistent knee issue that has troubled him since late December 2025. Mbappé was already forced to miss the Champions League play-off second leg against Benfica and was ruled out of the recent La Liga fixture against Getafe.
