Tel’s future uncertain as Villa & Spurs fight for him

Mathys Tel is uncertain about his future after a flurry of transfer activity involving Manchester United, Tottenham, and Aston Villa.

Bayern Munich had agreed to sell the 19-year-old winger to Tottenham for €60 million, but Tel rejected the move, despite efforts from Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to convince him.

United has since intensified their pursuit, hoping to bring Tel in on loan as a replacement for the departing Marcus Rashford, who is joining Aston Villa.

Aston Villa has also entered the race, making an offer, while Arsenal remains interested but hasn’t taken action. Tel, who has only made three starts this season, was left out of Bayern’s squad for their 4-3 win over Holstein Kiel.

Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund mentioned that Tel may remain with the club, as he needs time to consider his options after an intense few days.
