After being frozen out by Ruben Amorim and spending the second half of last season at Aston Villa, Rashford is exploring options for a fresh start. While Villa can make his loan permanent for £40 million, the 27-year-old prefers a club competing in the Champions League.

Barcelona are high on Rashford’s list, and he’s reportedly willing to take a pay cut from his current £350,000-a-week wage to facilitate the transfer. Talks between his agent and the Spanish champions have already taken place, although Barca are prioritizing moves for Luis Diaz and Nico Williams.

Speaking during an appearance on the XBuyer YouTube channel, Rashford said he would be happy to link up with teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, stating, “Everybody in the world wants to play with the best.”

The United forward is currently training individually in Marbella, preparing for either a return to Old Trafford or a summer move. When asked about life in Spain, he added that the proximity to his family and good weather make it an attractive location.

Despite being back in form while on loan, Rashford’s future at United remains in doubt. Barcelona’s interest is real, but whether they pursue him depends on how their other transfer targets evolve in the coming weeks.
