Manchester United are preparing to part ways with Jadon Sancho this summer as manager Ruben Amorim reportedly has no plans to include the winger in his squad. Sancho, who spent last season on loan at Chelsea, will return to Old Trafford following the collapse of a permanent move.

Chelsea initially agreed to buy the England international for £25 million but chose to activate a £5 million break clause after contract negotiations stalled. Sancho managed only three Premier League goals but contributed to the club’s Champions League qualification and Conference League triumph.
Despite this, Chelsea backed out of a permanent deal due to a lack of agreement over personal terms. His performances were not enough to convince Amorim, who took charge after Erik ten Hag’s departure, to offer him a fresh start at Manchester United.
Amorim has different plans for United’s attack and is targeting other players, including Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. Matheus Cunha has already been brought in from Wolves, further limiting Sancho’s future prospects at the club.
With his weekly wages estimated around £300,000, few European clubs are expected to match his salary demands. Interest from the Saudi Pro League is growing, with Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, and Al Nassr all linked with a move.
Manchester United are now actively seeking buyers and aiming to recover the £25 million they were previously set to receive from Chelsea. While a permanent deal is the goal, a loan move is also being considered, especially if Sancho opts to run down his contract, which expires in 2026.
United have already initiated discussions with clubs in Saudi Arabia, where transfer funds and salary flexibility could make a deal more feasible.
